I was only able to listen to about five minutes of this live, and it took me awhile to find a link for the audio (still looking for an actual video link). But it was refreshing to hear and see two intelligent people talking about such a serious issue for once.

So, I thought I’d take a stab and see what people think.

Capitalism is meant to do and achieve those things that Government ought not do or even try, and Government’s role with respect to Capitalism is to define the collective and greater good of moral and ethical boundaries to be applied against Capitalism.

Absent of the above, Capitalism, if left unrestricted, becomes a free-for-all plain-and-simple and Government, if overintervening, harnesses its power to monopolize and maximize inefficiency.

What do you think?
